Ten days beyond low Earth orbit

Reid Wiseman, Victor Glover, Christina Koch, and Jeremy Hansen of the Canadian Space Agency flew aboard Orion. The crew carried out a test flight of the SLS and Orion system, with a central objective of checking the spacecraft in the real environment of deep space.

The journey lasted about ten days and included a lunar flyby before the return to Earth. The experience will help NASA prepare later Artemis missions, including future landings and a sustained human presence near the Moon.

This draft is based on NASA releases covering the launch, flight, and return of Artemis II.
