Credits & Licenses

SkyLep uses many independent data sources and libraries. The editorial layer does not replace technical data: descriptions and illustrations are linked to objects using stable catalog identifiers.

Satellite data

Satellite orbital elements are obtained from CelesTrak services. NORAD numbers serve as stable identifiers linking the catalog, tools, and editorial materials. Predicted positions and passes are calculation results, not real-time observations.

Astronomical data

Names, designations, and basic parameters of stars and deep-sky objects come from documented astronomical catalogs. The specific source should be indicated with the material when required by its license or editorial context.

Images and materials

Rights to photographs and graphics are described in the metadata of the specific material. The caption, author or institution, source, and license take precedence over the general information on this page. The absence of a caption does not mean that the material is in the public domain.

Software

SkyLep uses open-source software. The detailed license terms for individual dependencies remain defined in their own license files and project documentation.
